Thailand | Koh Munnork Private Island
Meeting point 1pm, at Laem Tan pier in the Rayong province. Don’t be late as there is only one boat per day to go to the hotel. After a 45-minute navigation, there it is. A paradisiac island surrounded by white sandy beaches, and crystal clear waters. It will be you and the couple of guests coming along that day.

Island living
On this little piece of paradise, there is no road, no store, no other restaurant than the one of the hotel. It is completely secluded. To preserve the environment, the hotel’s owners keep it small and only offer few rooms. Some directly on the beach, slightly bigger ones are few steps away from the water, but close enough you will still wake up with the waves! Comfort is modest but more than enough for families. There is no baby bed available.
Program of the day: lounging on a dreamy private beach cabanas keeping an eye on the kids swimming or playing in the sand, kayaking, snorkeling, hiking around the island, playing in the swings hanging off the trees, and gazing at the peacocks roaming around freely showing off their magnificent feathers to anyone willing to watch.
I usually don't like going back to places twice, as there are so many to explore, but I might make an exception for Koh Munnork private island as it is really a unique place, offering once in a lifetime experience.
