Europe | Summer day camps for families
Traveling with kids is fantastic but not restful. I personally always feel like I need a vacation from my family vacation. One way to make family trips more balanced is to get some adult time. And I have found the perfect way to do that: vacation day camps! They consist in activities for kids for few hours a day so you have a little quiet time.
France
France is amazing at setting holiday camps, especially in the summer. The most common activities are:
-Tennis, most tennis clubs across de country will offer tennis “stage” during the summer times, a couple of hours per day. Look at the website of the city you will visit for info.
-Sailing “club de voile” in French, happening in Normandy, Britanny, down to Arcachon.
-Horse riding, very common in the countryside, look for “centre equestre” near where you stay, and if they don t do camp they will for sure set up a daily class for you yo go enjoy that croissant by yourself.
-Adventure mountain camps, for instance, I love the ones put together by La Compagnie des guides de Chamonix.
