Thailand | Float House River Kwai

Your bed is slightly shaking.

Waves are crashing at your doorstep.

A boat just passed by.

The river is waking up. Ans so should you! Open your curtain. In front of you, a mist is hovering over a cinnamon colored stream. A thick tropical forest in the background.

Sit on the swing of your terrace.

Breath.

The Float House River Kwai is for sure the most scenic hotel I have stayed in while living in Thailand. One of those places that you simply can't forget. Let me explain why.

The Float House River Kwai  is a serie of wood, bamboo and palm leaves floating houses connected to each other. Each room has a terrace you can use to jump in the water or sit on to admire the life of the river. If your kids are not swimming yet, this could be a little stressful, but totally doable. My littlest was 2 when I went and it was really fine.

One big advantage for families is that each room is connected to the one next door, great with kids! Some also have a sofa that turns into a gorgeous baby bed with a mosquito net!

The Float House River Kwai is also a great base to explore the area. Twenty minutes way by foot, you can explore Lawa Cave filled with bats! Other trips could be: bamboo rafting on the river, visiting a traditional Mon village or hiking in Erawan National park, famous for its gorgeous waterfalls.
