MOROCCO | CAMP ADOUNIA

By Charlotte Burgoyne. After hours of a sandy and rocky desert, we spot the white and black tents of the Camp Adounia. After a day of driving from Marrakech, this idea of being able to walk around is extremely exciting. There is no other way than the car to get to this camp so we recommend to avoid bringing babies or toddlers. We discover our room set up in a canvas tent. The space is really pretty and confortable. There are some gorgeous woven rugs on the floor, real beds with silky sheets, and a little bathroom corner with dry toilets and a little sink to wash up. We love the boho chic ambiance: baskets, colorful berber pillows, straw hats for guests.[supsystic-gallery id=116]The dining room area is also set up under a tent, and we eat at a table. Menus include fresh fruits and veggies which is quiet surprising as we are in the middle of nowhere! The camp is well organized and the Chef makes delicious local dishes such as camel burgers for the kids.During the day, we walk around in the sand dunes, go camel riding or sand boarding. Kids will love dressing up as locals and learning our to play the traditional drums. At night everybody look up to enjoy the magnificent star-filled sky.
