LAUREN PODOLL, CO-FOUNDER THE PODOLLS, IN SAN FRANCISCO

With a degree in Art History and Psychology, Lauren Podoll was not meant to make a name in fashion. Crossing paths with her husband, who was already in the industry, enabled her to develop her designer skills - and we're glad she did! In 2003, the couple founded The Podolls, an elegant, casual and minimal women's fashion line designed and made in San Francisco. They also have an adorable kids' collection called Podots made of leftover fabrics from the women’s collection to limit waste and inspired by the style and taste of their two children.

Eating out with her kids. Farina Pizza - From the time Dashiell was a baby we have been taking him to Farina Pizza at night. We love the bright, chic space and delicious food; he loves getting dough to play with and watching the chefs in the kitchen.

Shopping for her kids. Mapamundi - They have a unique selection of toys, thanks to the owner's passion to hunt for the newest toys worldwide. I also love the aesthetic of the place; very stylish, colorful and kid-friendly. 

An outdoor activity with her kids. We love taking walks at Land's End and down to Sutro Baths-- the views are breathtaking and being out there is so restorative.

An indoor activity with her kids. Their favorite museum is the Academy of Sciences, we always have a great time there together!
