"It is an amazing place for kids and parents to play with science!" | Stéphanie Ross, Co-Founder Les Petits Carreaux.

The Exploratorium is an extraordinary indoor "scientific playground" perched on the water. Fully hands-on, it has multiple stations scattered around for visitors to make new discoveries in the fields of sciences, art and human perception…There is no doubt you’ll learn and have as much fun as your little one. More geared towards children passed the toddler's age, the youngest ones will still particularly enjoy the sound and light area.

What's Around?

Embarcadero. This gorgeous water front promenade will offer you majestic views over the San Francisco Bay. If you head west, you will oversee the Golden Gate Bridge and get to the famous Pier 39 with its sea-lions colony, many eateries and shops. If you are heading East, you'll have the Bay Bridge in the background and after a 15 minute walk you will get to the Ferry Building, a magnificent ferry terminal housing artisanal food purveyors of all kinds.
