Malaysia | Pulau Babi Tengah island, the eco resort no one knows about (yet)

When I found this place,

I started dreaming right away. It offers everything you’d expect from the dreamiest beach vacation with the kids.

Let’s start with the main attraction here: the peace! The Batu Batu hotel has been built on a desert island, off the East Coast of Malaysia. So you will pretty much feel like it’s only you, the jungle and the clear blue sea. If playing Robinson Crusoe for few days has always been a dream of yours, well it will come true here. With a little extra comfort and service.

Eco retreat

The rooms at the Batu Batu consist in private one or two bedroom villas that have been built using local hardwood and materials. The result is gorgeous, intimate cabins with tropical vibes. The entire property has been designed to have as little impact on the environment as possible. The staff will love to show you how they keep the space as pristine as possible.

For families

In the bigger villas, you will find a cute children’s annex with bunked beds. For younger ones, the hotel also provides: baby puree, high chair, cot, bottle stereliser, baby baths, potties. There is also a little play house on the property.

To do

Not much, but enjoy the natural surrounding: walk in the jungle, snorkel, kayak to isolated beaches, learn about the local fauna and flora with the biologists on site. What else?

Get There

Although this hotel is in Malaysia, the easiest way to get there is from Singapore! It will take only a 3h drive and a 25min ferry to get to paradise, so worth it.
