Cambodia | 10 cools things to do in Siem Reap with kids

Get ready to be surprised…

Siem Reap is one of the most mesmerizing city in Asia to explore with the kids. Green, authentic, picturesque, it make a perfect long weekend trip. Here are my top ten things to try with the kids while exploring.

100% tested and loved by my tribe

1.Indulge a delicious meal, any time of the day, at Sister Srey Café, steps away form the old market. Try the coconut banana bread, simply the beast I have ever had.

2.Get lost in the picturesque site of Ta Prohm where Mother Nature is totally taking over an old temple. Fun fact : this is where some scenes of the movie Tom Raider where filmed.

3.Cycle around the countryside amongst traditional villages and rice fields.

4.Walk along the canal running through the city, ideally at the end of the day, to mingle with locals who love to meet up there after work.

5. Take a boat on the Tonle Sap lake, and get a feel for the life on the river passing through floating villages.

6. Stay at the FCC Avani hotel, the best option in town for families: kids club, pool and a killer design.

7. Take a pottery class at the Khmer Ceramic Center and shop in the gorgeous store on site.

8. Go to the Phare Circus, and discover the impressive Cambodian acrobats.

9. Visit Ankor Wat with a private guide to be able to follow your own pace. The site is huge, and can be a little tricky for little ones.

10. Explore the authentic central market.
