The Barbara Medina Ice Rink

In a city where temperatures are over 80 degrees Fahrenheit most of the year and where torrential rains agitate the summer months, finding refuge in an ice rink sounds like the ideal thing to do. Nevertheless, for some strange reason, Miami Beach's ice-skating rink is unknown to most locals and visitors. Located in the most touristy part of town, it is a very easy place for visitors to go. Open all year long and offering really attractive rates ($14 for adults and $10 for children, including skate rental), it is a perfect family outing. The Barbara Medina Ice Rink is part of the Scott Rakow Youth Center that offers tons of other family-friendly activities (swimming pool, a playground and six lanes of bowling) - great for some pre- or post-skating fun.
