ALICE SAVAYAN, BLOGGER (ALICE À BRUXELLES), IN BRUSSELS

Alice Savayan - aka Alice à Bruxelles - is a blogger you ought to follow if visiting Brussels. Her lifestyle blog is joyful, enthusiastic, straightforward and easy going. It is full of valuable information and savvy ideas about trends, fashion, kids, shops, restaurants, movies, exhibitions, books, treats, beauty, and art. Alice tests everything herself and shares her thoughts and experiences in a refreshing manner. We like it.

Alice is 38 years old, she was born in Brussels and studied psychology. She has a cat, a husband she loves,  and two lovely daughters, Louisiane, 5, and Mélinée, 9 months.

IN BRUSSELS WITH ALICE SAVAYAN

Eating out with the kids. My favorite yummy family places are:

La Fabbrica, located at the heart of the Entrepôt Royal de Tour et Taxis, is famous for its friendly vibe and delicious weekend brunches.

Le Balmoral, in Ixelles, is a place I often go for lunch. I like the US retro spirit and they have a toy corner for kids.

Grabbing a snack. We can't resist a pasteis from Forcado, ice-cream from Il Monello or cupcakes from La Cucina Delle Zie.

Shopping for the kids. Lovely children's shops have recently opened in Brussels. For clothing, Boucle d'Or and Claude Hontoir are a must and more recent options include Les Enfantines or Pipelettes et Galopins. For shoes, Pom d'Api has just opened a new shop in Ixelles.

I'm fond of Junior Shop in Uccle, for children's bedroom decor.

For children's literature, I recommend the bookstore, Am Stram Gram, in Uccle.

Your favorite activities on a sunny day. Brussels is a mix of small neighborhoods and each of them has its own atmosphere: Parvis de Saint-Gilles, le Châtelain, quartier Brugmann or Dansaert. On sunny days, I love going for a walk and discovering new places. We're also keen on the Parc Tenbosch in Ixelles, the Parc d'Egmont, and the Plaine de jeux Renier Chalon.

Your favorite activities on a rainy day. And rain is not scarce here! We either visit great exhibitions at the Musée des Sciences Naturelles or the Musée des Enfants or we go for something warm to drink at Café Lulu in the Châtelain.

Sleeping with the kids. I recently visited the Novotel Tour Noire in the Saint-Catherine area. It's the perfect place to stay with your family.

Good to know. Apart from my own blog - Alice à Bruxelles - I recommend the following blogs: A Mother in the cityThe BrusselsproutsS Marks The Spots (food and travel focused) + Brussel's Kitchen for insight into the best spots to eat and drink at in Brussels.
