France | 3 dreamy cabins for modern tribes

Have you ever heard of Les Vosges?

Family-friendly ski villages, gorgeous vast forests to explore by foot, bike or snowshoes, picturesque villages…

I used to have a family house there where I spent every childhood holiday.

Skiing amongst pine trees, learning how to swim in mountain lakes, finding mushrooms in the forest so many fun memories! This region in the Eastern part of France is truly an ideal place for families who want to escape from it all, year-round. For you to discover it in the best conditions, I have unearthed three incredible cabins. I am curious to know which one you will prefer!

48 Nord Landscape Hotel, wood and glass towers

Untreated wood, subdued colors, sleek lines, minimalist interiors.. 48 Nord Landscape Hotel offers really refined and design oriented cabins. Called “Hyttes” they look like glass and wood towers scattered on the edge of the forest. They each have their own sauna, and some also offer a Nordic bath. There is a restaurant and a spa onsite as well! Ideal for small tribes.

Vosges Cabin, the family vacation home

A wooden cabin designed by a dad of three who wanted to build a modern, beautiful and kids-friendly space. He really did! I am totally in love with the mezzanine filled with toys and a TV, perfect for parents to be undisturbed downstairs while still keeping an eye on the kids, the kids bedrooms, the wide bay windows surrounding the house, and of course the light wood structure. A dreamy place for lovers of minimalist, Nordic inspired interiors.

Located in the pretty village of Gerardmer, (where my family house was!), it is a perfect place for ski vacation, as it is 10 minutes away by car from the slopes! In the summer you could enjoy various watersports on the lake

Le Nid des vosges, XXL tree houses

Hanging above the ground, built around tree trunks in the midst of the forest, the cabins of Le Nid Des Vosges, beautifully mixing wood and glass, are really impressive. Their interior is very well thought off and provides everything large tribes might need. Jacuzzi, Nordic bath, glass ceiling, suspended bridge… each accommodation is different and provides a unique experience! Last but not least, the property also has a playground for kids with a mini cabin, organizes scavenger hunts in the forest, bike, snowshoe and cross country skiing expeditions.
