Zoo Miami

At Zoo Miami you will almost feel like you can pet a lion, ride a camel or cuddle an elephant's trunk...why is that? Well, unlike in most zoos, animals here are not caged or imprisoned behind glass. They are separated from the visitors by a very ingenious setup consisting of a large deep bay filled with water. Nothing will hinder your view of the animals. You will see them from an incredibly close, yet safe, range.

The zoo houses 3,000 different animals, water attractions and a carousel, so the best way to do it all and stay sane is to rent a Safari Cycle to pedal around. Covering the zoo on foot would take you an entire day and leave you close to dead while trying to catch a monorail might be really time consuming and stressful as they only come every 35 minutes and stations are not easily accessible.
