TURTLE DOVE, the smartest alternative to sleeping bag!
(By Charlotte Burgoyne)Pajamas are not only good for keeping your little ones warm at night, they also make wonderful travel outfits, especially for babies. Bringing a pair of PJs on a flight is a real win-win. It will save you space as you won't need to bring socks or an extra sweater and it will help your child feel comfortable.
But let's face it, our kids' pajamas are not necessarily the prettiest piece of clothing in their wardrobe. If, in general, you are careful about not sending your kids out with a Frozen or Mickey Mouse tee-shirt, you might accept cartoon heroes on their nighttime gowns. In that case, you might not think of your child's pajamas as a go-to outfit for a plane ride but we have good news. We've unearthed the most incredible pajama brand and it's not a big surprise they are made in France!
Turtle Dove offers the most adorable night outfits - gorgeous fabrics (quilted and organic cotton or fleece) paired with elegant prints and cuts. Behind the promising brand there is one inspired Parisian mom of three, Mathilde Girard. She tells us the story behind her brand.

"In France the majority of parents use baby sleeping bags instead of layering pajamas. I have three kids and I noticed that the sleeping bag was not working that well for them. They seemed uncomfortable and I would often find their faces partly covered by the bag as if they had 'fallen' into the sleep sack.
When we were going out to friends' houses at night it was hard to transfer them from the pack-and-play to the car and then to their bed in their sleep sacks.
Then, when my kids grew out of their sleep sacks and started using blankets I would always find the blanket on the floor in the morning and they would wake up cold.
I was looking for an alternative to baby sleeping bags and I could not find anything I really liked. The options for 'surpajamas' - the outer layer of pajamas - had a terrible style and there were not too many. In France the 'surpajamas' we have are considered old-fashioned and are really not used anymore. I saw a need in the market for good looking pajamas and I am hoping to revive the usage of pajamas in France!"
