PLANE PAL, THE CUSHION TURNING YOUR SEAT ON THE PLANE INTO A BED

By Charlotte Burgoyne.
Your legs have been dead for about an hour now, but worse is yet to come: a desperate need to visit the bathroom! If you go, your little one deeply sleeping on your lap might wake up, and who knows if he'll go back to sleep. The thing is you really need him to, as you are stuck on a plane for another 3 hours and all the passengers are quietly snoozing. What should you do?  Sam Cardone, an Australian mom of three, passionate about traveling, has been in this situation several times. To help other parents traveling with kids, she had the brilliant idea of creating Plane Pal an inflatable cushion to put between your seat and the one in front of you; creating a leveled platform to sleep or play. During her last trip between The Philippines and Europe with her two daughters aged 2 and 5, our contributor based in Manila, Valérie Chaperon Giusti used Plane Pal. She shares her impressions:
After take off, I blew up the pillows in two minutes and put them in the empty space between our seat and the one in front of us. It created a big leveled confortable space for my girls to play and rest. They both slept for hours on their Plane Pal and it made my flights way easier and more enjoyable than I thought.
The product is definitely really small and handy. When you are done with it, you can deflate it as fast as you blew it up, fold it and put it back in its bag without effort. It is easy to carry too as the Plane Pal bag has a strap.
Depending how many bags you have, you might want to get the pillow without the pump as it can get a little heavy. I admit that I've found it a little hard to carry the two pillows and the pomp; but I think it was still worth a thousand times in the end, as it enabled my girls to sleep happily.
