PATTAYA, THAILAND | BIRDS AND BEES

By Charlotte Burgoyne

The light in the car is dimming. A vegetal canopy is surrounding us. At the lobby, we are waiting for the key to our room with the sound of a waterfall in the background. The kids are in awe in front of the gigantic fishes swimming in the little cascade. Welcome to the Birds and Bees, a true family heaven.

We are only 2 hours away from Bangkok, right next to the Pattaya City famous for its active nightlife and gigantic tower hotels. In comparison, our accommodation seems a bit out of place. Here you will only find little villas and 3 low rise buildings, all lost in a thick vegetation. That is what's really incredible here, you basically feel disconnected from reality and lost in a forest, yet so close to the capital city.

We spend our days barefoot, juggling between the secluded semi private beach, the pool overlooking the sea or the gorgeous vintage looking kids pool. While walking around from one place to the other, we often stop by the rabbit village to see the cute animals playing around, practice our jumping on the nearby trampoline, or play on the bicycle run phone charging station!

We were so happy in this little green bubble that we did not want to live the hotel all week-end, and ate all our meals in the on site restaurant. The tables are spread out on different levels, all looking at the sea. Try to grab the treehouse tables for dinner to get the most amazing sunset over he water.

Oh and last but not least, the prices are simply incredible, less than 100 euros a night for a family of 5!
