Getting to Douar Samra  is a bit of a hike, but definitely worth it as you will land on a little piece of paradise lost in the Altas mountains. Here, you will feel in a totally different world.You will stay in mud and wood houses hanging of a little hill. Around you fruit trees and veggie patches everywhere. This fruitful garden is a perfect place to get some rest during the day, either in one of the hammocks hanging around or on the colorful soft pillows placed under the shade on a little patio. During the day, you can go hiking or simply explore the peaceful surroundings of Douar Samra. You will probably meet local berber women picking out fruits. Kids will love riding donkeys, playing in the little farm and learning about the local fauna and the flora with Jacqueline the lovely owner of the hotel.At the end of the day, when the temperatures drop, gather around the fireplace in the communal living rooms filled with colorful soft carpets (a fantastique room for parents with young kids or any design lover!). You could also warm up in the traditional hammam on premise. When the sun sets, dozens of candles and oil lamps light up the property, only partly connected to the electricity. Rachida, the house cook makes delicious local dishes. Half board is also available, which can be great for families.There is not much to do around here at night, so no need to worry about getting a babysitter! The hotel is not so big and you will be able to check easily on your sleeping angels. All the rooms are very cozy and spacious. We recommend a triple of quadruple to have extra space with the kids.In addition to dreamy surroundings, Douar Samra offers an eye pleasing decor and design.
