Grab you notebook!
- Few words about your city...
I live in Paris. I truly love it but I also like to leave for few days to breathe some fresh air.
- A kid-friendly restaurant you like to go to?
We only go out for lunch, as I found my kids too young to go out at night. Past 8pm, it's parent time! For lunch, I like the delicious kids menu and the babysitter at the Yacht Club; the thick pizza and play space at Marguerita in the 6th district, and last but not least, the Ferme de Gally. There, you can pet animals, pick out fresh veggies and have an XXL brunch with fresh eggs and charcuterie.
- A coffee shop or bakery to get the most wonderful snacks?
We love the praline tart at JOCTEUR (Le Boulanger des Invalides / 14 avenue de Villars / 75007 - Paris) and the cakes at Mori Yoshida (http://moriyoshida.fr/).
- Where do you take the kids on a sunny day?
We like to walk around the sculptures in the garden of the Musée Rodin and get a fresh apple juice at the museum's coffee shop; to have picnics in the little garden pique- Catherine Labouré, a closed space with a veggie patch and large green fields in the middle of the 7th district; and also head to the countryside and let the kids run around and use their bikes.
- It's raining, what do you do?
Stay under our blankets, invite friends and make yogurt cakes or go see a movie at the cinema Beaugrenelle offering comfy couches for two and great cartoons.
- Any cultural activities you like doing with the kids?
They like to draw so we often take our crayons and notebooks and go to a museum to copy the art. We like the Egyptian aisle of the Musée du Louvre, the Musée de l'Armée (army museum) or the Musée du Quai Branly. I also enjoy concerts for kids at Salle Pleyel and Philarmonie de Paris.
- A peaceful spot in or around town?
We go to Meudon's forest, make cabanas, bike, have lunch at Terrasse de l'Etang in front of the ducks. Otherwise, I am a big fan of the "Parc de St Cloud" and its open-air cafe the Chalet de l'Oasis.
- Your favorite kids shops.
I don't love shopping so I do everything online. H&M, Monoprix et Zara for basics, Adidas and Veja for shoes and random purchases at Louis Louise, Moumoute Paris, the Animal Observatory ou Bobo Choses. With my new little girl ,I dream of a Molli's overall, RYLEE + CRU's or BABE & TESS's bloomers.
- A kid-friendly hotel in Paris you would recommend to friends visiting?
I would tell them to book a flat on KidNCoe, or go sleep at the Grand Amour hotel and leave me the kids!
- A week end escape outside of Paris?
I love the Country Lodge in the Perche region and its family-friendly cabanas, its little farm and great communal space with a fire place.
- Your favorite family-friendly spot in the woooorld...
I would go back to the Santa Teresa beach in Costa Rica. You move around in quad, eat ceviche, spend your time barefoot, life is sweet, very sweet.
