INGRID BAUER, "BLOG-TROTTER" AND FOUNDER MINIMINIMAP, IN IBIZA
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Ingrid Bauer is a passionate traveler and an unstoppable "globe trotter". A gifted writer, she shares her itineraries, favorite discoveries and her stories through her famous blog, Les Voyages d'Ingrid.
This mother of 3 has also recently launched a mini coloring in city map collection for families and the first one, Paris, is now available on her blog.
For this article, Ingrid was given 'carte blanche' in choosing which city she wanted to take us to... She picked Ibiza. Not the cliché, jet set destination, but rather the other Ibiza, described by her as: "A place swept over by a wind of freedom and tolerance, a place where inspiration is such that everyone gets wings."
"Ibiza my love. Ibiza has this extra touch of soul that little cities have."
IN IBIZA WITH INGRID BAUER
Eating out with the kids. We often go and have lunch at Ses Boques, a restaurant typical of the island, where you can enjoy grilled fish, cuttlefish, or bellota ham, with your feet in the sand and your eyes lost in the sea. For dinner, we love to go to La Paloma, home of the "baba chic" crowd, located in the north of the island. Enjoy delicious organic dinners served in a garden of olive trees.
Grabbing a snack with the kids. We spend most of our afternoons at sea and therefore no ice cream or baked goods. Even better actually - Fresh, alcohol-free mojitos made right in front of us by a young lady on her dinghy!
Your favorite activity with your kids. Being on the boats... Jumping into the water and watching drone test flights. We make short movies that I publish on my blog afterwards!
C for Culture. There aren’t many cultural places here in Ibiza. That said, we did go and visit the museum of contemporary art in Dalt Vila, the historical center located in the old town.
Naptime/peaceful spot. Cala d'Aubarca. We enjoy walking along the cliffs whilst watching the big blue. Simply amazing.
Shopping for the kids. Sluiz, a lifestyle concept store where you can not only find all kinds of gadgets, but also apparel, home decoration items, accessories, etc...
A kid-friendly hotel. Without hesitation, Les Terrasses, a fantastic family-friendly, intimate place. This guesthouse was opened by my friend, Françoise Pialoux, who's been living here for more than 30 years. Two swimming pools, yoga lessons, cooking workshops and its legendary Tuesday couscous parties. A few rooms and almost always sold out!
Getaways. Formentera. We either take the ferryboat and then rent scooters to get around, or we rent a boat and we sail close to its coasts...
