Beaches

"I take the kids with some buckets and they play for hours on the beach" | Cristina Bustamante, Founder of Baby Love Luna.
"Our two favorite beaches are on Key Biscayne and on Miami Beach below 5th street" | Victoria Kenny, Founder of BKB Moms Club.
Clear blue water and white sand stretching as far as the eye can see. In the sky a ballet of a little airplane and on the horizon the profiles of gigantic cruise ships leaving for the Caribbean. The famous Miami Beach is definitely an iconic spot not to be missed when visiting, just as the Eiffel Tower would be if you were in Paris or the Empire State Building, if you were in New York.
If you are looking for an authentic experience, away from the crowds and the succession of hotels' long chairs and umbrellas, settle down on the part of the beach above 40th Street or below 5th Street. The latter is actually the best for little ones as the further South you go, the shallower the water gets. At the very far end of the island the sea looks like a 20 inch deep lagoon.
Another great spot, still on Miami Beach but way north, is the North Shore Open Space Park in the Surfside neighborhood. By a gorgeous tranquil beach, you'll find a playground and a spray area for kids. Outside of Miami Beach, try Virginia Key Beach, Crandon Park or Bill Baggs Cape Florida State park on Key Biscayne.
