AMANDINE LUGNIER INSTAMUM @amandine.lw, FOUNDER OF THE REUNION

By Charlotte Burgoyne,My stomach is rumbling. I am on the top floor of the famous Parisian shopping center Le Printemps, expecting to meet up with Amandine Lugnier  any seconds.  There she comes, stylish as always with a bright, fresh smile on her face. "Should we seat outside?" The active French mumpreneur founded The Reunion, a marketing agency focusing on events for cool upscale families.  She also has an addictive Instagram account where she shares her family life, and travels with lots of authenticity. Inspired by Paris' gorgeous rooftop and skyline, I asked Amandine about her favorite places to hang out in town with the kids. Grab a pen, all her addresses are a must!

  • Describe. I love Paris' beauty, divers neighborhoods, culture and the French art de vivre. I really enjoy having breakfast in tea rooms, on the terraces of cafés or pass by the boulangerie to grab a pain au chocolat and a baguette for dinner. Locals' style is always perfect: chill yet elegant...I like less their moods and lack of respect.
  • Eat. Our kids are not old enough to go out for diner. For lunch I try to find kid-friendly places such as:

- Chez Livio in Neuilly where we have family meals on Sundays. We like its laid-back atmosphere and delicious big pasta dishes.- Monsieur Bleu in the 16th district. The place is gorgeous, we eat very well and there is a room for kids with a babysitter on the week end.- Le Yacht Club, a very chill place with communal tables and kids everywhere! Parents can have a peaceful brunch while kids play upstairs in the playroom.- Marcel, american inspired brunch served fast un a very cool ambiance. Kids get coloring books upon arrival and meals are served fast which is perfect for families.- Le coffee parisien, close to our place and a family refuge since a very long time. Burger are simply perfect.

  • Play. We love to go to the "Serres d'Auteuil", one of the four locations of the Botanical garden of Paris. The kids love to see the fishes, the birds and the gorgeous plants. Since I am little, I go to the Ranelagh garden and I like to take the kids there now to hope on the old fashion wooden horses, poneys and swings. The Jardin d'acclimation is also a classic with its many rides for little ones. Finally we like riding our bikes in the "bois de Boulogne" to feel like we are escaping the city for few hours.
  • Stay dry. We've recently discovered the "Cirque d'hiver Bouglione" and the kids loved this cozy and warm place offering a gorgeous show. The Natural History Museum is also a must, little ones get really impressed by the animals gathered in the main hall.
  • Learn. We like to go to the Louis Vuitton Fondation which is very spacious, allows visitors with strollers. Otherwise, the "Palais de Tokyo" often offers graphic and moderne exhibitions suited for kids.
  • Indulge. The famous parisien bakery Carette. I am lucky to lie next door so I often go for a hot chocolat and viennoiserie with the kids.
  • Rest.We like to go to the Bois de Boulogne, walk around the lake and look at ducks.
  • Shop.  I mainly shop online and like small designers such as Petit Bec or the selection of my friends' website https://www.amaetc.com. For international brands I shop on https://fr.smallable.com.
  • Escape. In the summer we like the gardens of Versailles Castle ad the Ferme de Gally to pet animals and go veggie picking.
  • Travel. We love the Beachcombers hotels nestle in gorgeous places and offering great services for families.
