A DAY IN THE WINELANDS

"Babylonstoren in Simondium (40 minute drive from Cape Town) is the ultimates spot for families who love being outdoors. Set within 3,5 hectares of cultivated fruits and vegetables, the big garden at Babylonstoren is at the heart of the farm. Every one of the 300 varieties of plants in the garden is edible or has a medicinal value. They are also grown as organically as possible and in a biologically sustainable manner." | Heloise Sykes, Founder Little Love Kids.

"We love the Babylonstoren gardens on a perfect day, so beautiful for the eyes; and the flowers and gardens satisfy your senses...the have nice little nests the kids can climb, river path etc.." | Katya Lekarski, Founder Collerette.

The Cape Winelands are world-famous and also very kid-friendly. Most of them organize wine tastings (and grape juice testing for kids), scrumptious picnic or offer the best tables of the country. Our absolute favorite is Babylonstoren, an incredible vegetable garden and working farm; and we also love the picnics of Boschendal. At La Motte, you can enjoy a gastronomic lunch while the kids are painting under the shade of old trees. Closer to Cape Town, you can also visit the wines estates of Constantia, have a lunch at Simon's or a savory picnic at Eagles'nest .[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_btn title="BACK TO CATEGORIES" shape="square" align="left" i_icon_fontawesome="fa fa-angle-double-left" add_icon="true" link="url:http%3A%2F%2Flittlevoyageurs.com%2Fcape-town|||"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
